John J. Voglio
John J. Voglio is the President of Mary F. Clancy Charities, Inc. (MFCC), a foundation established to support programs that help disadvantaged children and families. He has been involved in MFCC since its inception in 2000. John was very close friends with Monsignor John M. Harrington, founder of MFCC, who was given the initial funds to start the foundation by Mary F. Clancy. Monsignor Harrington turned the presidency over to John in 2006.
From its beginnings, John has been responsible for leading the overall direction of the foundation, working with a talented and dedicated group of core board members, some of whom remain on the board until this day.
In 2011 John took MFCC from a private foundation to a public foundation in order to be able to actively raise money to expand the scope of the foundation. In this way, he has been able to solicit funds through fundraising activities and grant writing – this has helped grow the principle of the fund enabling the foundation to distribute money to even more individuals and organizations in need.
John has also served on the community board of Einstein Medical College in the Bronx, New York, whose purpose was to communicate the needs of the local community to the college. As a member of a local branch of the Kiwanis Club in the Bronx, he successfully organized yearly fundraisers, the profits of which covered the costs of several programs aimed at helping those in need in the community and beyond its borders. He is currently a member of BNI, the world’s largest business networking organization.
